Blueberries at Farmer's Market

Image via Wikipedia

About 2 weeks ago, I happened to come across one of those As-Seen-on-TV commercials, this one was advertising "Little Giant Blueberries" from http://www.blueberrygiant.com.  What got me interested in this item was the testimonial that a single plant will produce about 16,000 berries within it's growing season and not small berries, but berries measuring about an 1" in diameter.  Okay, I have to give this product a try, it's only $10.00 for 3 plants (plus shipping and handling).

After receiving the product in the mail, I decided that I would keep a small journal, documenting the product's claim (see picture below).  Now, they don't include the pots and soil, what they ship as bare-root cuttings, without soil. So, I went into Home Depot and bought a bag of Miracle-Gro potting soil and some biodegradable pots that will be recycled in the transfer process to final growing pots, sitting outside on the deck. Stay tuned for more developments.
